Studio Paramount Television intends to revive the sci-fi comedy "In Search of the Galaxy" in the format of the series. A feature movie, movieed by DreamWorks in 1999, the cast of the once-popular science fiction television show became real space heroes, taking part in the rescue of an alien race by chance. This is reported by the publication Deadline.

To work on the series, the studio hired the creators of the original movie: screenwriter Robert Gordon, who, apparently, will be in charge of the script, director Dino Parisot and producer Mark Johnson. All three will share the roles of executive producers of the potential series.

In the movie "In Search of the Galaxy", which was a kind of parody of the classic TV series "Star Trek", starring Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalub, Sam Rockwell, Daryl Mitchell, Enrico Colantoni and Justin Long, for whom the role became a debut on the big screen.

It is currently unclear whether the series will be a sequel or a reboot. Despite talk of a full-length sequel, the sequel was never movieed. Paramount Television representatives have so far refrained from comment.
