In the latest April issue of the insider, we will talk about the prospects for the use of displays by the Chinese manufacturer BOE in the devices of some major electronics developers. Then we will discuss the characteristics of the HUAWEI smartphone and the capabilities of the MediaTek processor. At the end of the article, we will learn about the features of the new realme watches.

Display manufacturer BOE could gain more market share

Netizens reported that Beijing Oriental Electronics (BOE) is working on an under-screen version of Touch ID and intends to replace Samsung as the supplier of OLED panels for Apple smartphones.

Also, according to their information, the Korean Samsung intends to use the services of BOE in order to develop displays for the Galaxy S and Galaxy A. These are new models of the company that are just being created.

Resource DSCC claims that representatives of this enterprise are currently in negotiations with the aim of producing OLED screens in China. We are talking about creating flexible 6.67-inch displays for at least one smartphone model - the Galaxy S21.

Another source previously reported that the upcoming flagship Galaxy A91 will have a 6.67-inch Full HD + OLED panel from BOE. It is expected to feature an Infinity-U cutout for a selfie camera.

Now Apple and its competitor Samsung, due to the coronavirus pandemic, are going through hard times. Their mobile device shipments fell, as did other electronics manufacturers.

Previously, there was information about the decline by Samsung marketers of the forecast for the production of smartphones this year. One of the reasons for this is weak sales of the Galaxy S20 line. Experts suggest that if the pandemic does not subside in the near future, then the company's flagships will sell even worse, due to a decrease in the purchasing power of the population.

Let us remind you that the BOE company was founded in 1993. It is now the largest LCD TV manufacturer, surpassing LG Display. This developer has created AMOLED displays for smartphones such as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and the foldable Huawei Mate X.

BOE has already pushed LG Display out of some markets and hopes to become a supplier for Samsung and Apple soon. At this rate, Chinese OLED displays will soon dominate the world.
