Social media has a huge impact on the life of the modern person, and being a demon in such times is not an easy task. Debutant director Damien LeVeck addressed the classic theme of demonic possession in his first feature film, but served it up with a topical sauce.The result is the horror movie "Hour of the Devil," in which the Reverend Max and his best friend Drew make a living by casting out demons on the air. They have their own web series for this with thousands of fans, but gullible fans do not even know that the whole show is fake, and Max is no exorcist. One day, the actor who was supposed to participate in the filming disappears, and Drew's bride becomes the experimental. Things don't go according to plan when a demon actually possesses the girl ... Critics who have appreciated horror at one of the festivals argue that Hour of the Devil is almost the most interesting and unusual film about obsession in recent years, and practical special effects add to it old school. Damien LeVeck successfully plays with modern themes, diluting the horror with humor, and Ryan Guzman ("9-1-1") and Kyle Gallner ("Strangers") did an excellent job of playing the roles of scam friends.
