Sony to film emoji
Surely everyone has seen or sent emoticons in messages at least once in their life. But the thought that a movie could be made about these cute winking faces hardly crossed anyone's mind. However, in Hollywood today, original ideas are valued, and therefore the studio Sony Pictures Animation in the competition with WB and Paramount acquired a script application for a film about Emoji - those very emoticons. The portal Deadline reports about it.The new animation will be written by Eric Siegel ( The Hard Times of RJ Berger ) and Anthony Leondis . The latter will also act as the director of the project. Among his works are the cartoons "Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch's Big Problem", "Igor" and "The Department of Otherworldly Affairs". No release date for the latter has yet been set. It is difficult to imagine what the film about emoticons will be like, but it looks like a stellar moment for these emotional signs will come, because many will want to see how such a non-standard idea will be expressed on the big screens. The convenience for the creators of the project is that, unlike Lego , no one has the rights to Emoji , that is, they do not need to be obtained to create a movie.
