Western critics have literally smashed Sony Pictures' animated movie Emoji Movie. As evidenced by the statistics of the largest aggregator of professional reviews, the Rotten Tomatoes portal, at the time of this writing, the project received only a 3 percent rating. Of the 29 reviews, 28 were negative. This is one of the lowest in the history of full-length animation.

"Did you hear that? It's just the end of the world!", Wrote Johnny Oleksinski of The New York Post.

" The emoji movie "is a good illustration of how low Hollywood can go," stresses New York Daily News's Jordan Hoffman.

"The viewer will leave this movie in extreme irritation. Not only because that the movie is shamelessly bad, but also because it made him angry, "writes Charles Bromsco of the Guardian.

The Emoji movie is as bad and terribly depressing as most of 2017's projects." - sums up the author of the publication IndieWire David Ehrlich.
