Oscar nominee Jennifer Fox will introduce film lovers to the work of the American writer Ursula K. Le Guin. According to Deadline, the producer of Michael Clayton and Stringer has acquired the rights to film the fantasy series Earthsea.The first work about the world of Earthsea was published in 1964. In total, the book series includes five novels and several short stories, which enjoyed great success with readers and brought Le Guin the Hugo Award, the World Fantasy Award and several other prestigious literary prizes. The epic saga takes place on a huge archipelago of hundreds of small islets. The main character of the first novel was Duny the shepherd boy, who unexpectedly discovered a talent for magic and became a student of a real magician.  In 2004, Le Guin's works became the basis for the plot of the mini-series "The Wizard of Earthsea". To the disappointment of fantasy fans, Sci Fi executives did not consult with Ursula about the script for the TV project. As a result, neither critics, nor fans of the book series, nor the writer herself liked the free interpretation of the saga about Earthsea. The creators of the film adaptation of the fantasy cycle will certainly treat the original with great respect. First, Jennifer Fox was personally blessed to shoot the film from the creator of Earthsea.
