Warner Bros. Film Company will pay for the adaptation of Eric Larson's true-to-life novel The Devil in the White City. According to the Deadline resource, Leonardo DiCaprio will play the main role in the movie.

The story is about one of the most terrible serial killers in US history - Dr. Henry Holmes. In 1893, during the World's Fair in Chicago, he brutally killed, according to various estimates, from 27 to 200 people. Almost all the crimes were committed by him in his hotel, which was later called the `` Castle of Death. ''

With extensive connections in the medical community, Dr. Holmes sold the processed skeletons of his victims to medical schools.

After the completion of the exhibition in Chicago, he moved to Texas, where he continued his terrible `` practice ''. Dr. Holmes also traveled to other regions of the United States, as well as to Canada, leaving behind heaps of corpses everywhere.

In November 1894, he was arrested by Pinkerton detectives for stealing a horse in Texas. While in police custody, they managed to connect the name of Henry Holmes to a series of murders in Chicago. In 1896 he was executed.

Note that DiCaprio has long been interested in this project. The timing of work on it has not yet been specified.
