Leonardo DiCaprio will star with Martin Scorsese again
Paramount Pictures has acquired the movie rights to Eric Larson's true-life novel The Devil in the White City. This is reported by the publication Deadline. Martin Scorsese intends to become the director of the movie, and the studio sees Leonardo DiCaprio as the leading actor. It should be noted that the latter has long been interested in this project. For the first time, the willingness of the actor to appear in a movie based on this book was reported back in 2011. If an agreement with Paramount is signed, it will be Scorsese and DiCaprio's sixth movie together. The book, published in 2003, tells the story of one of the worst serial killers in US history - Dr. Henry Holmes. In 1893, during the World's Fair in Chicago, he brutally killed, according to various estimates, from 27 to 200 people. Almost all crimes were committed by him in his hotel, which was later called in the press "Castle of Death". With extensive connections in the medical community, Dr. Holmes sold the processed skeletons of his victims to medical schools. In 1894 he was arrested for stealing a horse. While in police custody, Henry Holmes was able to link him to a series of murders in Chicago. Holmes was executed in 1896. DiCaprio is expected to play the role of a maniac.
