Sony Pictures postponed Spider-Man premiere
Sony Pictures has postponed the premiere of Spider-Man animated feature movie. According to Variety, instead of July 20, 2018, as previously planned, the project will be presented to viewers on December 21 of the same year. The reasons for the change in the rental schedule are not specified. It is worth noting that the third part of "Avatar", which should be released at about the same time, will become a likely competitor of the cartoon, and therefore Sony Pictures has ceased to consider its project as a potential blockbuster. Filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the creators of The Lego Movie and the Macho and the Nerd comedy, will be responsible for the cartoon. Recall that earlier Sony and Marvel agreed to jointly operate the image of the famous superhero. He will be featured in the Marvel movie Captain America: Civil War in May 2016, and will then solo in the Sony Pictures movie, which will be released worldwide on July 28, 2017. Both projects will be produced by Marvel studio head Kevin Feige. Tom Holland will play the role of Peter Parker. Going forward, Spider-Man is expected to appear in other movies, including Sinister Six, which was originally slated to premiere in November 2016 and later canceled.
