The long-suffering remake of the science fiction movie "The Raven" may soon acquire a new leading actor. According to Deadline, it could be Jack Houston, known to viewers from the "Boardwalk Empire" series.

Representatives of the actor and the studio have so far refrained from commenting. If the negotiations are completed successfully, then movieing may start at the end of 2015.

Recall that for the first time information on preparations for the creation of a new version appeared in 2010. At various times, the performers of the role of Eric Draven were Bradley Cooper, Tom Hiddleston, James McAvoy and Luke Evans. However, they all eventually dropped out of the project. The Crow is still directed by music video creator Corey Hardy, who was appointed director after the retirement of Juan Carlos Fresnandillo, who had previously succeeded Stephen Norrington.

The original movie starring Brandon Lee was released in 1994. The plot was built around a young man killed along with his beloved street gang. The hero's soul cannot calm down and he returns from the other world in the form of a dark avenger.

As for Jack Houston, viewers will soon be able to see him on the big screen in the new version of the movie Ben Hur, in which he got the main role.
