The US Directors Guild has unveiled a list of nominees for its award in the feature-length section.

Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Clint Eastwood (American Sniper), Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Birdman), Richard Linklater (Adolescence) and Morten Tildum ("The Imitation Game").

2014 Best Director of the Year will be named at a gala ceremony to be held on February 7, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. The nominees for the Directors Guild Award in the TV section will be announced on January 14, 2015.

Recall that earlier Richard Linklater received a Golden Globe 2015 for his work. His movie "Boyhood" was highly appreciated by other professional communities, as well as movie festivals. In particular, the director was awarded the "Silver Bear" Berlinale.
