One of the first TV projects of DC Entertainment's previously announced streaming service will be a series based on the Swamp Thing comic. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it will be overseen by Aquaman director James Wan.

Mark Verheyden and Gary Doberman are appointed scriptwriters for the show. The Swamp Thing character debuted in comics in 1971. This is a creature that knows how to inhabit any representative of the plant world and thus form a physical shell for itself. It can control plants, even alien ones. The complete list of Swamp Thing's abilities remains a mystery. It is only known that the creature has tremendous strength and the ability to move at high speed and regenerate. Joined the Dark Justice League his ally was John Constantine.

Recall that the Swamp Thing comic has previously hit the big screens. A feature-length movie was released in 1982, followed by a sequel in 1989. The movie adaptations were not very popular with viewers.

The timing of the TV version of "Swamp Thing" has not yet been specified.
