Based on DC comics, Swamp Thing will be closed after its first season. According to Deadline, the digital service DC Universe refused to continue the show just six days after its premiere. The exact reason was not disclosed.

It was previously announced that instead of the 13 episodes originally planned, Swamp Thing will have ten. The downsizing was caused by some "creative differences" with the show's creators, including Len Wiseman, Gary Doberman, Mark Verheyden and James Wang.

The project involved such actors as Jennifer Beals, Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Will Patton, Crystal Reed, Maria Stan, Jeryl Prescott, Tom Proctor, Gregory Alan.

Note that the Swamp Thing character debuted in comics in 1971. According to classical mythology, this is a creature that can infiltrate any representative of the plant world and thus form a physical shell for itself. Can control plants, has tremendous strength and the ability to move at high speed and regenerate.
