The CW will air the previously closed TV series Swamp Thing, based on DC comics. This information has the publication The Hollywood Reporter. When exactly fans of the show should expect his return, it has not yet been specified. The CW is expected to announce its premiere schedule at the end of May 2020.

Recall that the digital service DC Universe refused to continue the "Swamp Thing" just six days after the premiere of the series. The reason for the closure of the show was not disclosed.

The show's first season, curated by James Wan, was originally planned to be 13 episodes. Subsequently, the number of series was reduced to ten. According to rumors, the reduction was caused by some "creative disagreements" between the studio and the creators of "Swamp Thing", including Len Wiseman, Gary Doberman and Mark Verheiden.

Wang himself admitted in an interview that he did not know the reasons for the termination production. “I don’t know and don’t understand why the production of Swamp Thing was discontinued, but I can tell you this: the cast and crew, as well as the production team and writers put their hearts into this project,” he said.

The Swamp Thing was supposed to be part of a larger project, related to the so-called Dark Justice League.
