Jason Voorhees will play Swamp Thing
Derek Mears, best known for his role as Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th remake, will play Swamp Thing in DC Entertainment's streaming service Swamp Thing. In the series, written by Mark Verheiden and Gary Doberman, Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed), an employee of the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, returns to her hometown of Home, Louisiana to study the deadly swamp virus. There she becomes close to the scientist Alec Holland, who tragically dies.
