Oracle and Future Workplace conducted a massive survey of working citizens. The experiment covered ten world countries. As it turned out, the development of artificial intelligence had time to influence labor relations, in particular, it affected the attitude of employees towards their bosses. Thus, the results of the study showed that two-thirds of the respondents are ready to trust machines more than their "human" bosses. In addition, roughly half of employees think robots can provide better advice than humans.

The age criterion of the participants was from 18 to 74 years old. Among them were ordinary employees, heads of personnel services and middle managers. Interestingly, the percentage of confidence in artificial intelligence turned out to be different depending on the country where the study participants live. Most people are ready to trust cars in India (89%). Also, a high percentage of trust in robots was found in Brazil, Singapore, China and Japan. Closer to the western direction, the percentage began to decline: in countries such as France, Great Britain, the United States, a little more than 50% of respondents expressed confidence in cars.

The overwhelming majority of employees (80%) claim that robots in production are much more productive both in line and in management positions. Participants in the study found that machines were better at handling problems and meeting deadlines, more impartial and, above all, more efficient in allocating an organization's budget. At the same time, “ordinary” leaders still have their advantages. More than a third of the respondents believe that they understand emotions better, are more effective in interpersonal relationships and are not replaceable by machines in creating a corporate culture.

Both management and employees agree that robots and the further development of artificial intelligence are one of the main factors in the competitiveness of their companies. The respondents also agree with each other that the use of machines in the work process should become more efficient. Many employees would like to use artificial intelligence in their work, while a third of the respondents specified that their wishes are related to the simple use and the presence of an understandable interface of robotic mechanisms.

The authors of the study say that the robot with artificial intelligence has already managed to influence the distribution of roles between the boss and subordinates and changed the very function of the head. Future Workplace believes that in order to maintain their leadership role, modern leaders should pay more attention to interpersonal communication, and shift the daily routine and technical operations to machines.
