Director of Doubt to movie sequel to The Shining
The acclaimed movie The Shining, directed by Stanley Kubrick based on Stephen King's novel, will have a sequel. Deadline reports that Mike Flanagan, the creator of such mystical movies as "Somnia" and "The Oculus", has been appointed its director. The script will be based on King's book, published in 2013. In the center of the plot will be Danny Torrance, who, in his forties and a little, is fighting the same demons as his father - anger and alcoholism. Flanagan will also write the script for the movie. The sequel is said to have direct links to the original movie. Terms of work and a possible rental schedule have not yet been specified.
