Google has launched a new android, the latest version 10, for free access. An almost finished OS is presented for beta testing and is available for installation on all branded Google Pixel smartphones. For owners of devices of other brands (including Google Nexus) free download of Google Android 10 OS is still limited.

The updated OS has changed significantly both internally and externally. The innovations concerned design and technical characteristics. Key changes are related to gesture navigation, new multimedia capabilities, styling and private mode.

The Android 10 (Q) menu has been supplemented with new private functions that are more or less related to the protection of personal information. This includes the ability to hide the location, and manage the tracking history, blocking permissions for applications to activate GPS and other parameters. With their help, the user is given greater freedom to control his own privacy.

Android Q gives users additional control and the right to prevent third-party programs from determining its current location. The owner of a smartphone can set a restriction or allow location tracking, but without his knowledge, the new Android does not allow applications to independently manage and activate the GPS function without special permission. The new 10th version of the OS allows you to personally set permissions for each application, for example, determine the user's location always, only in active mode, or completely prohibit all programs from receiving GPS coordinates by default if they do not need them.

In addition to the ban on obtaining coordinates, Android 10 has slightly reduced the independence of applications. Now in the new OS they will not be able to switch from background to full-screen playback themselves. If earlier some program, wishing to gladly notify the user about its changes, deployed a notification about it in Full Screen mode over the currently active windows, now Android 10 allows you to disable this separately for each application.

The notifications themselves have not undergone major alterations. Android Q allows you to make them completely silent. From now on, if the sound is turned off in the smartphone, but the notification of any program has nevertheless signaled itself with a sound signal, the user will be able to fix it. A bell icon has appeared in the settings of each application, which will allow you to do this. The Share menu has also changed slightly. Now, with the help of the new OS, it can be supplemented with shortcuts to contacts for quick sending to other users, if necessary.

The first trial version of android 10 added new multimedia tools. The innovations have affected the Wi-Fi module, adding fresh functions to it. Now its adaptive mode has become available, which saves battery power and allows you to maximize data transfer rates. For example, it will help increase the performance of your smartphone in online toys or when downloading a large amount of information.

The concept of folding smartphones spreading in the mobile market is becoming fashionable and gaining popularity. It was taken up by several global brands, for example, Samsung and Huawei, presenting their visions of flexible mobile devices. Their interface must conform to the form, which requires serious software modifications. Google is keeping up with the general hype around foldable devices, so it has supplemented the new Android Q with support for this class of devices. How exactly this will be implemented in the final version of the OS is not yet known, but the first touches on adjusting the new android for flexible smartphones are already being traced.

The official presentation of the final version of what Google developers have invested in the new OS has not yet happened, although it can be assumed that Google will do it at the annual I / O conference, where it introduces everyone to its new products. So, a year earlier at the May event, the company showed Android 9 Pie, so there is a possibility that the final Android 10 will be presented as part of the current I / O, which is scheduled for May 7-9, 2019.
