Huawei introduced new smartphones without the usual Google apps
During its conference, Huawei demonstrated that despite all the sanctions and bans, the company will continue to release new products. The brand showed new Huawei smartphones, which lack the pre-installation of Google applications familiar to most mobile gadgets. What makes the new products stand outThe new members of the Mate family are the Mate 30, 30 Pro and the premium Mate 30 RS. The latter, in addition to the doubled price, differs from other new products in increased memory capacity and more expensive case design. In all three smartphones, the manufacturer paid special attention to the main camera.
Senior representatives of the updated line (Pro and RS models) received a so-called display - "waterfall". Such a screen extends beyond the front surface to the side edges of the case and is distinguished by smooth lines. Additionally, the 30 Pro and 30 RS are 5G friendly. Against the background of many mobile gadgets, each Huawei Mate smartphone of the presented line is distinguished by the presence of fresh Android 10, supplemented by the proprietary EMUI 10 shell and, at the same time, by the absence of the usual services. The same YouTube or Google Play, as well as other Google applications, require manual installation. Specifications 30 & 30 ProThe screens of the Mate 30 and 30 Pro are made on the basis of an AMOLED matrix. In the Mate 30 Pro with a 6.53-inch display, all physical buttons have been replaced by sensors, and its “waterfall” screen could not stay within the front panel, as a result, it went far beyond the front panel. In this regard, the junior smartphone Huawei Mate 30 supports a more standard structure. Its normal display does not "run away" anywhere, and, in addition, its diagonal is even slightly larger - 6.62 inches.
The base of new products is Huawei's proprietary chipset - the eight-core Kirin 990 with an integrated 5G module. It is based on 7nm technology. The processor is complemented by the Mali-G76 mobile graphics. Smartphones support the 27W wireless charging standard. The battery capacity of the Mate 30 is 4200 mAh, while the 30 Pro, as an older model, has a slightly higher capacity - 4500 mAh. Smartphones are waterproof and, again, for the Mate 30 it is IP53 for light rain, for the Mate 30 Pro it is IP68 for full immersion in water. CamerasThe system of sensors of the main camera in the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro is located in a round module, which distinguishes the new items from the previous generation smartphones. The camera system takes up a large portion of the frontal surface. The main cameras of the junior and senior models have significant differences. New Huawei smartphones introduced this year received four-module main cameras. In the younger Mate 30, the main 40-megapixel SuperSensing module is complemented by optical stabilization, laser autofocus and an ultra-wide-angle sensor. The selfie camera received a resolution of 24 MP.
The Mate 30 Pro has slightly different parameters. SuperSensing at 40 MP is also present in it, but it is not the main one. This role also went to the 40-megapixel ultra-wide format Cine with optical stabilization. Instead of autofocus, the Mate 30 Pro has a ToF camera that measures the depth of the scene. The front camera consists of five face recognition sensors. Huawei VIP-smartphoneAnother novelty of the company is the premium smartphone Huawei. This is the Mate 30 RS Porsche Design model. The VIP model is priced twice as expensive as the basis on which it was created (we are talking about the Mate 30 Pro). A key feature of Porsche Design is its exterior.
The design of the device uses leather with a textured surface pattern. In general, the premium smartphone repeats the specifications of the Mate 30 Pro, but at the same time offers more RAM and internal memory - 12 GB and up to 512 GB, respectively (the Mate 30 and 30 Pro have only 6 - 8 GB of "RAM" and a maximum 256 GB internal storage). There are also no pre-installed Google apps in Porsche Design, and the cost of a modification with a 5G module is $ 2100.
