Teleport will be transferred to TV
In addition to literary sources and all kinds of comics, full-length feature films are often the inspiration for creating new series. Sometimes TV shows are a continuation of very successful films, and sometimes just an attempt to somehow present to fans the end of a story that has not shown itself very successfully at the box office. In due time such TV adaptations as "Highlander", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Her Name was Nikita", "Stargate" and many others became hits. This time, the television bosses chose the 2008 film Teleport as the object for the reboot.The project will be handled by Studio Canal , New Regency and Lionsgate , and will be assisted by actor Jamie Bell, who is about to reprise his role from the original film, and writer and director Julian Simpson (Doctor Who).  Doug Lyman's film was based on the novel of the same name by Stephen Gould and told thestory of a dysfunctional teenager named David Rice , who once found out that he has the ability to teleport from place to place. New abilities opened up the whole world to him. However, after a while, the hero found himself a target. A hunt has been announced for him, as well as for other people like him. Hayden Christensen, Jamie Bell , Samuel L. Jackson and Rachel Bilson starred in the film. The full-length version of the story was released by Fox and earned over $ 220 million worldwide.  Bell became famous as a teenager thanks to Stephen Daldry's film "Billy Elliot" about a boy from a small mining town in the north of England, who begins his passion for ballet. For this role, the young actor was awarded the British Academy of Film and Television Arts .
