Studio Universal will tell viewers about the path to success of the first Olympic boxing champion in US history. The Tracking Board reports that the Hollywood film company is starting work on an as-yet unnamed biographical drama about the life of Claressa Shields , nicknamed T-Rex .Shields had a difficult childhood. The girl was barely two years old when her father went to jail. He was released only seven years later, but it was he who was destined to bring Claressa to the boxing section. Shields has shown fantastic results in all age groups, having managed to start her professional career with a streak of 26 consecutive wins. At the age of 16, the girl became the youngest participant in the American qualifier for the Olympic Games. In May 2012, she successfully received a ticket to London, and three months later won a gold medal in the capital of Great Britain, defeating USA woman Nadezhda Torlopova in the decisive fight in the weight category up to 75 kg. This summer, Claressa won the Olympic title again, defeating the Dutch Nauhka Fontaine in the final bout of the boxing tournament Rio 2016 .  The script for the film will be written by Barry Jenkins, who has gained experience in writing stories about growing up through his work on the independent film Moonlight. Drea Cooper will be involved in producing the biopic, introducing the public to the achievements of the athlete in her last year's documentary T-Rex. The Topic of Article: Million Dollar Baby. |
