It seems that Dream Factory has found a new target audience - sports-hungry fans. Recently we reported that Netflix is preparing a film about the triumph of the American team at the 1999 Women's World Cup. The streaming service initiative will be supported by the film company 101 Studios, which will take viewers into the fascinating world of rowing.The California studio has acquired the film rights to Daniel J. Boyne's The Red Rose Squad. The novel is set in 1975, when several American athletes formed the first women's rowing team in US history. Under the leadership of British coach Harry Parker, the Red Rose Eight began to beat one record after another. For many years, rowing was considered a primordially male sport. Participants of the "Red Rose" gave battle to critics, stereotypes and prejudices. It is difficult to overestimate their role in the development of women's rowing: already in 1976, women were admitted to participate in the Olympic Games for the first time.
