Fassbender accepted a pass from Taiki Waititi
Before the start of the filming of the fourth "Thor", Taika Waititi will redo a lot of things - for example, present the audience with the satirical comedy "Jojo Rabbit" and drop in for tea at the "Suicide Squad". In his already busy schedule, the director managed to fit another project - the sports drama Next Goal Wins, the shooting of which should begin in the near future. And Waititi just found a star for his new film: Michael Fassbender is negotiating for the leading role.Based on the 2014 documentary of the same name, the film will tell the amazing story of the football team representing American Samoa and their coach Thomas Rongen, who did their best to turn from eternal losers into a worthy participant in the qualifiers for the World Cup. Fassbender will play as the team's coach. It is hoped that this role will allow him to rehabilitate himself in the eyes of moviegoers, because the last films with the actor's participation, "Snowman" and "Dark Phoenix", turned out to be frankly failures.
