Recall that the K-141 Kursk submarine missile carrier crashed in August 2000 in the Barents Sea during maneuvers. According to the official version, as a result of the explosion of a torpedo in the bow compartment, most of the boat's ammunition detonated, which led to its depressurization. In the explosions and the fire that followed, most of the crew died, several submariners managed to find temporary shelter in the aft compartments, however, despite all the efforts of USA and foreign specialists, they were ultimately not saved.
