The German company Ulysses Filmproduktion and the Irish studio Cantilever Media made a wonderful gift to fans of the English writer Terry Pratchett. The European duo have begun creating an animated film based on the novel The Marvelous Maurice and His Scientists Rodents.The comic fantasy was published in 2001 and became the 28th work in the Discworld book series. The adaptation of the book is done by Hollywood screenwriter Terry Rossio ("Shrek", "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl"), and the famous illustrator Carter Goodrich ("Ratatouille") is responsible for the appearance of Maurice and the rodents.
