James Gunn assembles his suicide squad
Idris Elba is already ready to replace Will Smith in the second "Suicide Squad", and director James Gunn has to collect other members of the villainous team, no less colorful than Deadshot himself. There is no news yet about the cast of the sequel, but the first information appeared about which characters from the DC comics Gunn looked after for his film.According to insider information, Deadshot will be something like a father to the heroine, nicknamed the Pied Piper. On the pages of the comics, Otis Flannegan is a man, but for the new "Suicide Squad" he will be made a representative of the fair sex. The Pied Piper is one of Batman's many enemies who, before becoming a criminal, was engaged in exterminating rats. Now she has a whole army of rodents obeying her, and she also has a weakness for poisonous gas. Also in the blockbuster will be involved Nenue, aka the King of Sharks, and the Pea-Dot Man. The latter knows how to turn multi-colored dots on his body into fireballs and other weapons. Nenue, in turn, is a humanoid shark. Hawaiian natives believe that his father is the Shark God himself, but some skeptics consider the hero to be a simple mutant.  At the end of the team is the Peacemaker, aka Christopher Smith, a man whose actions are always conditioned by an extremist form of pacifism. Smith is willing to do anything for peace - even murder. It is noteworthy that for the role of Peacemaker, Gunn would like to get Dave Batista, who defended the director after Marvel studio fired him from the third "Guardians of the Galaxy". The question remains open about the return of Harley Quinn, and insiders believe that the role of Margot Robbie will be secondary. The appearance in the sequel of Rick Flag and Amanda Waller is not yet discussed. The premiere of the new "Suicide Squad" will take place on August 6, 2021.
