Casting: Hutcherson the carpenter and caring son-in-law

Image According to the information portal Variety , Josh Hutcherson ("Bridge to Terabithia", "The Hunger Games") has found a new project for himself - a drama by James Franco called The Long Home .

The film, based on the work of the same name by William Gay, will take place in the 40s in Tennessee. A young carpenter ( Hutcherson ) is hired to build a new cheap bar. The main character's employer is a charismatic and brutal bootlegger who killed his father ten years ago. But the situation is further complicated by the fact that the construction worker falls in love with the girl being courted by the tycoon.

Soon Hutcherson can be seen in the second "Mockingjay", and not so long ago the young actor played in the film "And Lost the Battle", which the same Franco shot from the book John Steinbeck.


In addition to Hutcherson , The Long Home is joined by Tim Blake Nelson , who will play the richest bootlegger who terrifies those around him.

Finally, Billy Crudup (Almost Famous) will star in the black comedy Youth in Oregon directed by Joel Moore. The actor will be accompanied on the set by Frank Langella.The main characters of the picture are a grumpy old man ( Langella ) and his son-in-law ( Crudup ). Together, this strange couple travels across the country to Oregon to euthanize an elderly man tired of life.The script for the new film was written by Andrew Eisen.
