Josh Hutcherson to Save the World in Seth Rogen's Comedy
Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson goes to TV. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will star in the pilot of Hulu's comedy streaming service "Future Man", and his company Turkeyfoot will be responsible for production along with Sony Pictures Television. The protagonist of Seth Rogen's project and Ivan Goldberg – a janitor by day and a world-rated gamer at night. His task is to prevent the extinction of people after mysterious guests from the future declared him the key to victory in the imminent invasion of the super-race. Hutcherson will play the main character - Josh Futturman. Josh still lives with his parents and works as a janitor at the Devlin Research Center, which specializes in genital diseases. Due to the painful period of puberty and social maturation, Josh has low self-esteem and does not dare to approach women. The only thing he succeeds in is – video game "Cybergeddon", which takes place in a dark future, where his character, Man from the Future, tops the world rankings. As Josh completes the final level, he is visited by characters from the game, who claim that the game was just training and that he is now chosen to travel back in time and help them save the world. Is he ready for this? Of course not. Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffier (Sausage Party) will write and executive produce with Rogen, Goldberg, James Weaver and Matthew Tolmach. Rogen and Goldberg will remove the pilot.
