Spider-Man becomes a cartoon character
According to Variety , the chairman of the board of Sony Pictures Tom Rothman announced to the visitors of the CinemaCon festival about the start of work on a full-length animated film about Spider-Man .The plot of the cartoon will be composed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller ("The Lego Movie"), who already have the experience of working with Sony during the filming of the franchises " Macho and nerdy ”and“ Cloudy with a chance of meatballs ”. The creative duo will also be producing the project with Avi Arad, Matthew Tolmach and Amy Pascal. The details of the plot of the cartoon are still kept secret. During a speech at CinemaCon Rothman announced that the project would be linked to new feature films about the famous superhero. However, a press release released after this insisted that the animated picture would exist independently of the Marvel and Sony MCUs.
