Casting: Garfield's Fortitude and Hathaway Heaven
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy will star in Andy Serkis's film Breathe . The film tells the real story of Robin Cavendish, who was diagnosed with polio at the age of 28. The script was written by twice-nominated for Oscar William Nicholson.Paralyzed Robin ( Garfield ) doctors give only three months of life, which should be spent in the hospital. However, the young man, despite the insistent recommendations of doctors, leaves the medical institution. Later, his case will be called a miracle - the patient will live 64 years. Robin will cope with the disease not only physically, but also mentally - he will refuse to remain hostage to the disease and will continue to be socially active. Together with his wife ( Foy ), he will begin to travel the world and give people the desire to live ...  At the moment, the last released film work Garfield is a thriller about the real estate market "99 Homes". This fall, two more films will be released with the actor's participation - the historical drama by Martin Scorsese "Silence" and the war drama by Mel Gibson "For reasons of conscience." For Serkis -director this project will be the second full-length feature film - October 18, 2018 his adaptation of " The Jungle Book " by Rudyard Kipling is due out.  Anne Hathaway will star in the film adaptation of Grounded based on the play by George Brant and will produce this project. She will portray a female pilot in the service of the American Air Force. According to the script, which is written by Brant himself, the main character must go through a personal drama - leave the sky and become an operator of an unmanned aerial vehicle on the ground. Anne is already familiar with this image - last year she played a pilot on the stage of New York's Public Theather . The critics liked the play, and Hathaway made sure that the adaptation rights went to Sidney Kimmel Entertainment , who will finance the film.  Dakota Fanning got a role in the film " Murders by Postcards " - the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Swedish writer Lisa Marklund and American James Patterson. The director's chair is taken by Janusz Kaminski, and the plot will focus on the mysterious murders of couples in love in European cities. The killer will have his own unique handwriting, one of the details of which is the sending of postcards to local reporters on the eve of the crime. The father of one of the victims, who leads his own investigation, New York detective Jacob Canon , joins forces with Dessie Larson ( Fanning ) - the journalist who received the same postcard.
