Monster High has found a director
Journalists of the portal Deadline report that Universal Pictures wants to see Oscar-winning director Eri SandelUniversal , whose characters in the films became prototypes of the dolls " Monster School ", learned about the new project of the manufacturer Barbie ( Mattel ) back in 2009 and ever since, hoping to revive his old characters, and ideally to get a new franchise, has been planning a film adaptation. The film's producers include Craig Zadan, Neil Meron, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. The latter two also contributed to the screenplay, written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The film will tell the story of Draculaura , Frankie Stein , Claudine Wolfe and other students of a secret academy called “ Monster School ” who care about the usual teenage questions of beauty and popularity.  For Sandel , who won a 2007 Oscar for his short film A History of the West Bank, Monster High will be the second feature film in his career - in February of this year, his comedy "The Simplest" was released, which, by the way, also tells about the hard everyday life of teenage high school students. The film, which received a positive response from critics, grossed $ 43.5 million with a budget of $ 8.5 million .
