RZA will direct a hip-hop drama
As it became known to the information portal Deadline , the musician RZA is ready to change his role again and lead the shooting of the new drama Coco .According to the creators, the film will be similar in atmosphere to "8 Mile".A rapper girl who wants to pursue a career in hip-hop, but gives in to the wishes of her parents, goes to college in the center of the action. Over time, the heroine begins to understand that studying poetry will help her become who she wants. The leading role in the film will be played by Azilia Banks, an American hip-hopper who released her provocative debut album Broke With Expensive Taste in 2014. Her co-stars on the set will be Common ( Hell on Wheels ), who will play the protagonist's mentor, as well as Jill Scott (James Brown. The Way Up) and Lorraine Toussaint ( Eternity "/ Forever ).  The new drama will be the second directorial job for RZA . The musician made his Hollywood debut with the action movie The Man with Iron Fists, starring RZA himself, Russell Crowe and Dave Batista.
