The 17th Visual Effects Society Awards have finished at the Beverly Hilton Los Angeles hotel. For the eighth time in his career, comedian Patton Oswalt will host the ceremony. Currently, the VES ranks include more than four thousand experts in special effects and computer graphics from 40 countries around the world, who annually celebrate the outstanding achievements of their colleagues in the field of film, television and advertising. Traditionally, within the framework of today's ceremony, special awards for contribution to the development of the industry were presented. The VFX honorary prizes went to David Benioff and D.B., showrunners of the TV adaptation of the fantasy cycle A Song of Ice and Fire. Weiss, founder of animation studio Illumination Christopher Meledandri and screenwriter for Remember, The Dark Knight, and Interstellar Jonathan Nolan.
