Star Wars 7 Receives Major Visual Effects Society Awards
The Visual Effects Society Awards took place in the USA. The main awards went to Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens. The movie won in such nominations as "best photorealistic special effects in a full-length movie project", "best photorealistic environment in a full-length project", "best virtual movieing in a full-length project", "best photorealistic model in a full-length project (BB-8)". Other winners of the honorable trophy also included the drama "The Survivor" - "the best photorealistic auxiliary special effects", "the best photorealistic animated character in a full-length project - the Bear", "the best photorealistic composition - the attack of the Bear". The categories for animated movies included The Good Dinosaur - Best Special Effects in a Full-Length Animation Project, Best Environment in a Full-Length Animation Project, and Puzzle - the Best Animated Character in a Feature-Length Animation Project - Joy. In the Video Games section, The Order: 1886 won the Best Photorealistic Special Effects award. The Special Effects Community Awards have been presented for the 14th time.
