Happiness in ignorance

Image In recent months, the news feeds of the world's leading news agencies have been flooded with stories of actresses and female employees in Hollywood companies who have been harassed by their colleagues and bosses. The online service Amazon has decided to capitalize on the situation and address the hot topic of sex scandals in its new film project. According to Deadline, the streaming service has outpaced four of the Dream Factory's leading studios in the fight for the rights to film Alafer Burke's book The Wife.

The novel focuses on a single mother named Angela, who at first sight falls in love with an economics professor at New York University. A light affair develops into a whirlwind romance, which, in turn, ends with a wedding. For six years of marriage, Angela's husband manages to become the author of a bestseller, start a super popular podcast and found his own consulting firm. The family idyll comes to an end when the protagonist of the story learns that her faithful received accusations of sexual harassment from two women at once. Angela clearly does not want to see her name in the yellow press editorials, because the sharks of the feather can get to her own dark secrets ...

The novel went on sale last month and has already made a good impression on America's leading literary critics.
