Netflix will take on space exploration
Recently, scripts about travels to distant stars have been in special demand among the bosses of Hollywood studios and the heads of American television channels. The streaming giant Netflix, which commissioned the production of the ten-episode first season of the drama Away, will not be left out of the exciting space race.According to Deadline, the idea of creating the series belongs to the famous Chicago playwright Andrew Hinderaker, who has already established himself as a talented TV scriptwriter thanks to his work on the horror movie "Boulevard Horrors" and the psychological drama "The Way". The inspiration for the winner of the prestigious Charles MacArthur theater award was an article about the famous one-year mission to the ISS, in which American Scott Kelly and USA Mikhail Kornienko participated. The main character of the series will be American astronaut Emma Green, who will have to leave her husband and daughter to lead an international team of astronauts preparing for a dangerous stellar journey of a year.  Netflix will be backing the space drama from the TV division of Universal Pictures and 6th & Idaho and True Jack Prods.
