Director Seth Gordon, creator of movies such as Horrible Bosses and Rescuers Malibu, will direct a space drama for Solstice Studios called Major Tom's Control Center. It is reported by the Variety edition. The title of the movie is taken from David Bowie's 1969 song "Space Oddity".

It is claimed to be the story of an astronaut and NASA ground control expert who have never met but fall in love during a secret mission to an abandoned space station. The astronaut's ship crashes, and the control center, as well as the rest of the world, believe that it is dead, but until 18 months later they receive a message indicating that the astronaut survived. There is practically no chance of his rescue.

The shooting schedule has not yet been specified. The studio intends to present the movie itself in North America and will put up for sale the rights for international distribution at one of the nearest movie markets. Note that Seth Gordon also took part in the creation of many television projects, including the series The Good Doctor, Sneaky Pete, My American Family and many others.
