Kurosawa's Seven Samurai Get Modern Remake
The Weinstein Company is preparing to produce the next remake of Akira Kurosawa's famous movie, The Seven Samurai. According to the Variety edition, the action of the new version will be transferred to our time, and the events will take place in Thailand. The movie will be directed by British director Scott Mann, who is behind an action movie called Tournament. Recall that Kurosawa's movie was released in 1954, and six years later in the United States there was an indirect remake called The Magnificent Seven.
