Peter Sarsgaard will play the villain in the remake of The Magnificent Seven
Remake of the cult western "The Magnificent Seven" has found the main villain. According to Variety, his role was given to Peter Sarsgaard, who is familiar to viewers from such movies as "Green Lantern", "Flight Illusion" and "Jasmine" and many others. The action of the new version will not take place in Mexico, as in the original 1960, but in a provincial mining town ruled by a "golden" baron, whom Sarsgaard will play. The movie will also star Vincent D'Onofrio, Jason Momoa, Chris Pratt, Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke, Luke Grimes, Hayley Bennett, Byun-Hung Lee, Wagner Moura and other actors. The remake will be based on the classic tape, starring Yul Brynner. This picture, in turn, was a free remake of the Japanese movie "Seven Samurai" by the famous director Akira Kurosawa. Antoine Fuqua has been appointed director of the new Magnificent Seven, based on a script prepared by True Detective creator Nick Pizzolatto.
