Life Pi FX File Declared Bankruptcy
Rhythm & Hues, who has created special effects for many Hollywood movies, including the likes of Life of Pi and Snow White and the Huntsman filed for bankruptcy. This was reported by the Variety edition. The company took advantage of the 11th chapter of the US bankruptcy code, which allows to restructure debt and delay payments to creditors. Indian company Prime Focus was in talks to buy Rhythm & Hues, but apparently did not succeed. The company has several unfinished projects, for example, special effects for the movie 300: Rise of an Empire. Their fate will be the subject of separate negotiations between the company and Hollywood customers. Bankruptcy of Rhythm & Hues happened, in fact, immediately after receiving numerous prestigious awards by the studio's specialists. So, the painting `` Life of Pi '' won the Academy Award for Special Effects and was voted Best Stereo Project of the Year. She is also nominated for Academy Awards.
