Travelers and OA renewed for second seasons
Netfix streaming service has renewed two new dramas - – "Travelers" and "OA" for the second seasons. The Hollywood Reporter reports. The science fiction drama Travelers, a collaborative effort between Canadian studio Peacock Alley Entertainment, Showcase and Netflix, debuted in Canada on Showcase in October 2016, while for the rest of Netflix subscribers around the world, the series became available to watch on December 23. In the drama series by Brad Wright, the action takes place in the distant future and is built around the last surviving members of the human race, who have invented a way to send consciousness through time directly people in the 21st century. Time travelers take over the lives of seemingly random people but in fact they are jointly developing a mission to save humanity from a terrible future. The main roles are played by Eric McCormack, McKenzie Porter, Patrick Gilmore, Jared Abrahamson, Nesta Cooper and Reilly Dolman. A second season premiere date and episode count has yet to be announced. The mystery drama OA, directed by Hall Butmanglidge, starring Brit Marling, received mixed reviews when it debuted on December 16, 2016 on Netflix. The production of the series about the disappeared, and seven years later returned Prairie Johnson, who now calls herself OA and can see, although before that she was blind, was kept secret. Batmanglidge directed all eight episodes of the show. The premiere date of the second season and the number of episodes have not yet been determined.
