The Star of Perception will travel back in time
Five-time Golden Globe nominee Eric McCormack (Will and Grace, Perception) is ready to embark on a journey through time. According to The Hollywood Reporter, McCormack is starring in the Netflix sci-fi drama Travelers, co-produced by Canadian studio Peacock Alley Entertainment and Showcase. Brad Wright's action drama (Star gate SG-1 "), takes place in the distant future. The focus is on the last surviving members of the human race, who have discovered a way to send consciousness through time directly to humans in the 21st century. These "travelers" appropriate the lives of seemingly random people, and while they themselves work as a team, developing a mission to save humanity from a terrible future. McCormack will play the role of FBI Special Agent Grant McLaren, leader of the group. His team members include Marcy (McKenzie Porter), a mentally handicapped young woman in the care of social worker David (Patrick Gilmore); Trevor (Jared Abrahamson), high school quarterback; Carly (Nesta Marley Cooper), a single mother in an abusive relationship; and Philip (Reilly Dolman), a heroin addict in college. Armed with a lore of history and archives of social media profiles, travelers are discovering that life and relationships in the 21st century are no easier than their mission. Wright has been appointed showrunner for the drama. Nick Harran ("Sherlock") will movie the pilot.
