Netflix has found its Lemony Snicket. Patrick Warburton (Rules of Living Together) has a key role in the streaming service's upcoming drama series, Lemony Snicket: 33 Misfortunes, based on the Lemony Snicket book series '33 Misfortunes' by writer Daniel Handler, writing under the pen name Lemony Snicket. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

"Lemony Snicket: 33 Misfortunes" tells the story of orphans named Baudelaire – Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hines) and Sunny, who are at the mercy of their sinister uncle Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris), who has plans for their family happiness.

Warburton will play Lemony Snicket, hounded and unfortunate writer-photographer who was falsely accused of serious crimes, and constantly hunted by the police and its enemies, including a secret organization called the Voluntary Fire Service. In the 2004 movie Lemony Snicket: 33 Misfortunes, Snicket was voiced by Jude Law.

For Warburton, the cast came on the eve of the March 15 premiere of the NBC comedy, "Crowded," in which he stars. There are also rumors of his possible involvement in a reboot of Amazon's Tick Hero, in which he could return as a familiar comic book hero.

The thirteen-part drama is expected to begin production in March 2016.
