Former True Blood showrunner Mark Hudis and Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld have signed with streaming service Netflix to adapt the Lemonie Snicket book series 33 Misfortunes. Hudis will take over the duties of the showrunner of the series and share the functions of the executive producer with Sonnenfeld, who will act as the director of the TV project.
