Netflix found Violet and Klaus to movie Misfortune 33
The lead roles in the upcoming adaptation of the Netflix streaming service "33 Calamities" by Daniel Handler, writing under the pseudonym Lemony Snicket, have been revealed. According to Deadline, Malina Weissman ("Supergirl") will play Violet, and newcomer Louis Hines has been confirmed for the role of Klaus. Since mid-January of this year, the comedy star "How I Met Your Mother" Neil Patrick Harris is in talks on Count Olaf's role in a Paramount Television production project. As a reminder, Netflix announced the start of work on a thirteen-part project, directed by Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black), in the fall of 2015. The 33 Calamities book series is narrated on behalf of Snicket. which tells the story of three Baudelaire orphans - Violet, Klaus and Sunny, going through a series of trials, hardships and misfortunes, faced with their sinister guardian Count Olaf, when they want to find out the truth about the death of their parents and are trying to find their legal inheritance. Violet, the smart and confident eldest child beyond her years, helps her brother and sister solve problems with the help of her talent as an inventor. Klaus, the middle child, loves to read. In the 2004 full-length adaptation of Lemony Snicket: 33 Misfortunes, Emily Browning and Liam Aiken portrayed Violet and Klaus, and Jim Carrey played Count Olaf. Filming for the series is set to begin in Vancouver this March. Mark Hudis ("True Blood"), appointed showrunner, has left the project.
