In the upcoming TV adaptation of the acclaimed CBS Rush Hour franchise, Inspector Lee has been cast as Jackie Chan in all three feature movies. He was the British actor and martial artist John Fu. The role of Lee's partner, Detective Carter, is still being cast. This is reported by Deadline.

The pilot for the television remake, commissioned for production in late January 2015, overseen by Bill Lawrence (Predator City), will center on the pedantic Hong Kong police officer, Inspector Lee. forced to investigate in Los Angeles, and a self-assured black officer of the local police department, completely uninterested in a new partner, Detective Carter.

Lawrence and his colleague in the "City of Predators" Blake McCormick will write and executive produce with trilogy director Brett Ratner and producer Arthur M. Sarkissian. The pilot will be produced by Warner Bros. Television.

Like Chan, Fu, with Chinese and Irish blood in her veins, is a martial artist, stuntman and international action star. He is best known for his roles in the feature movies Dragon's Honor and Tekken, as well as the short movie Street Fighter: Legacy.
