In the upcoming television adaptation of the famous CBS Rush Hour franchise, the second leading actor, Justin Hyres ("Macho and Nerd"), has been confirmed, who will play the role of Detective Carter. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The pilot of the television remake, commissioned for production in late January 2015, overseen by Bill Lawrence (Predator City), will focus on a pedantic Hong Kong police officer, inspector Lee (John Fu), forced to investigate in Los Angeles, and a self-confident black local police officer, completely uninterested in his new partner, Detective Carter (Hyres).
