Neil Blomcamp introduced the grown-up Newt from Aliens
Director Neil Blomcamp celebrated International Alien Day with the publication of yet another concept art for his canceled movie, which was to be a direct sequel to Aliens. The illustration, which the director presented on his official Instagram page, shows a matured Newt (Tadpole). Blomcamp did not specify whether to expect the resumption of work under this project. Recall that in the fall of 2015 it was reported that the fifth movie was supposed to be dedicated to Newt and Corporal Dwayne Hicks. Lieutenant Ellen Ripley was also supposed to appear in it. All the performers of the roles in the movie "Aliens" gave their consent to participate in the movie, and an approximate shooting schedule was even outlined. However, in October 2015 it became known that 20th Century Fox had frozen the project indefinitely. According to anonymous sources, this was done at the request of director Ridley Scott, who promoted his own movie - the sequel to Prometheus, titled Alien: Covenant. Since then, there has been no news of the painting with the tentative title "Alien 5". Neil Blomkamp's project was to be based on his own ideas and script.
