Neil Blomcamp found a replacement for the deferred Alien 5
It became known what South African director Neil Blomcamp will do, left out of work after the production of his dream project, tentatively titled Alien 5, was postponed at the request of Ridley Scott indefinitely. According to Deadline, FOX has contracted Blomcamp to movie a science fiction novel by writer Thomas Sweeterlitch called "The Gone World". It is noteworthy that at the time of this writing, the work has not yet been published, but large Hollywood studios have entered into a competition for the rights to movie it. The plot of the movie adaptation is not specified, only it is reported that it will be a procedural about time travel. Terms of work and a possible rental schedule have not yet been specified. Recall that Blomkamp planned to start creating a new movie, which was to be a direct development of the Alien franchise. The movie was supposed to be based on the director's own ideas, with Lieutenant Ellen Ripley and Corporal Dwayne Hicks as the main characters. However, FOX chose to freeze this project in order to give Ridley Scott the opportunity to movie a sequel to his fantastic movie Prometheus.
