Neil Blomcamp announced his next movie
The next directorial project of South African director Neil Blomkamp will be a science fiction movie that has nothing to do with the Alien franchise. This is evidenced by the director's comment under the photo of the mask of an unknown monster posted on his official Instagram page. "I'm working on something new. But not on Alien this time," he wrote. Blomkamp did not provide any additional information about the project. Recall that the 20th Century Fox movie studio froze the production of the director's movie, which was supposed to be a direct sequel to the famous fantastic movie "Aliens". Thus, the plots of the third and fourth parts of the franchise would be ignored. Actors Sigourney Weaver and Michael Bien, who played the main roles in "Alien", agreed to star in its sequel. However, the management of the FOX studio decided to bet on the movie "Alien: Covenant", which was directed by director Ridley Scott.
